Isaac Levido’s UK public affairs firm has opened an Australian outpost
The architect of Scott Morrison and Boris Johnson’s election victories has expanded his advisory firm with a new Melbourne office and a key senior hire.
Port Macquarie-raised, London-based political strategist Isaac Levido’s corporate communications advisory firm is officially expanding into Australia after setting up an outpost in Melbourne and making its first local hire.
Levido’s Fleetwood Strategy has hired corporate advisory veteran Andrew Laidlaw of Sodali and Co to helm the new office as it seeks to deepen its presence on Australian shores.
The move represents something of a full circle moment for Levido, a former deputy director of the Liberal Party, who oversaw Scott Morrison’s surprise victory over Bill Shorten in the 2019 federal election before moving to London where he became one of the most influential figures in UK politics.
Later that year, as campaign director for the Conservative Party, he masterminded Boris Johnson's defeat of Jeremy Corbyn and the ‘Get Brexit Done’ slogan.
