Splose raises $46m to improve allied health scales care
The news: AI-powered practice management software provider Splose has raised $46 million in a capital raising led by US-based venture capital firm Spectrum Equity, with participation from Athletic Ventures.
The context: The South Australian-based startup said the funding will be used to support the scaling of allied health services, including expansion into the UK market, accelerated product development, the rollout of simpler payment solutions, and further strengthening of its payment offerings.
Splose was founded by Nicholas Sanderson to help health practitioners scale care by reducing time on day-to-day administrative tasks.
The startup said its end-to-end platform is now used by more than 20,000 allied health professionals across Australia, the UK and New Zealand.
What they said: "The sector has historically been burdened by legacy software, and a lack of structured investment aimed at solving the actual challenges practitioners face," Splose CEO Nicholas Sanderson said.
"This leaves practitioners struggling to run their businesses, rather than focusing on patient care. Splose is here to fix that," Sanderson added.
