Tony Lombardo resigns as CEO of Lendlease
The news: Tony Lombardo will step down as Lendlease Group's CEO and managing director in August 2026, following the release of the company's full-year earnings, as he relocates to to South-East Asia to pursue a new career opportunity.
The context: Prior to his resignation, Lombardo worked at Lendlease for 18 years, including five years as chief executive.
The company said he led the development and execution of Lendlease's strategy, restoring balance sheet strength and simplifying the group's portfolio.
The board's search for a new CEO has commenced, and said it will update the market in due course.
What they said: "Leading Lendlease has been a privilege after nearly two decades, now is the right time for a new leadership to oversee the next chapter in this great company's storied history. I am proud of the progress we have made towards the strategic resetting of the Group," Lombardo said.
