Albo meets with Twiggy as the Voice campaign falters

As polls show the 'Yes' vote is declining, the campaign is doubling down on securing corporate Australia's support. But questions are rising over this approach.

The list of big business figures supporting the Voice is lengthy, but there is one glaring omission: mega-billionaire Andrew Forrest.

And to say that this is raising eyebrows within Anthony Albanese's circle of power would be an understatement.

The Prime Minister and Forrest have met on multiple occasions this year in which the topic of the Voice, and the iron ore magnate's refusal to state a public position, has come up.

Most of Australia’s biggest resources giants - including BHP, Rio Tinto and Woodside - have publicly backed the Voice, but neither Forrest nor his company, Fortescue Metals Group, have declared a position for or against.
