Analysts are concerned about WiseTech ‒ but not Richard White's personal dramas
The media frenzy surrounding Richard White didn't really feature as the WiseTech founder fronted analysts to discuss his return and the company's performance.
The most valuable technology company on the ASX, WiseTech, has been facing intense media scrutiny following a series of revelations about the personal life of its on-again, off-again founder Richard White.
But that wasn't the top priority on the company's call with analysts on Thursday to discuss the $30 billion-plus logistics software provider's half year results, and White's return as executive chairman following a board exodus earlier this week.
After a presentation that largely washed over those changes, early questions in a Q&A session instead focused on how the company plans to grow and how the market should think about its revenue model at a time when the return of Donald Trump to the White House threatens to upend global trade
It took Paul Mason from E&P – the fifth questioner – to broach the sensitive topic of whether the senior leadership team was still looking healthy after these changes. Yes, answered interim CEO Andrew Cartledge, who pointed out that there was more than "two hundred years of company experience" between the remaining personnel.
