‘Completely backwards process’: Firmus embarks on a transparency blitz

Some of those who attended community town halls in Tasmania and South Australia say Firmus’ unlikely charm offensive isn’t cutting through.

Ever since Firmus first caught the public’s attention late last year, the AI infrastructure company has been something of a closed shop.

Co-founders and co-CEOs Oliver Curtis and Tim Rosenfield have mostly shunned media interviews. Politicians have pleaded for more transparency. And several investors have been left baffled by a slew of unanswered questions ahead of its gridlocked ASX listing.

But, as Capital Brief reported last week, the company appears to be changing tack.

Rosenfield has been transiting between Tasmania and South Australia (via a fleeting appearance at Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s midweek AI speech) to hear the myriad issues concerning the company’s future neighbours in Bell Bay and Tailem Bend.
