Corporate Australia's 'promotion problem' revealed in new gender pay gap data

The gender pay gap is improving. But women are still missing from some of the top paying jobs in the Australian economy.

Australia's employers have made progress on the gender pay gap. But the Workplace Gender Equality Agency is now warning some of the best paid industries in the country are facing a “promotion problem”.

In other words, despite women bolstering the ranks of once-male dominated industries they are not climbing the pay ladder to catch up with their male peers.
