Finder to cut 60 roles or 17% of global workforce
Comparison website Finder has moved to make its third round of layoffs in the last 12 months.
Comparison website Finder has moved to cut 60 roles across its global business, in the third wave of layoffs at the company during the last 12 months.
The headcount reduction amounts to a 17% cut to the company’s global workforce of 350 people, and adds to the swarm of cost-cutting activity that has swept the media and technology sectors in the opening months of this year.
“Finder has taken this difficult but prudent decision to restructure its operations to streamline business operations and right-size its expense base to suit current market conditions,” a Finder spokesperson told Capital Brief in a statement Wednesday.
It is the third round of redundancies Finder’s workforce has endured in the past 18 months. Last February, when it had over 500 employees, Finder laid off 15% of its staff. Another cut of 40 employees followed in April.
