KPMG board set for weekend meeting on new CEO
The board will meet to choose its next CEO this weekend as the firm seeks stability after executive departures, job cuts and the audit leaks scandal.
KPMG Australia’s board will meet this weekend to consider the appointment of its next chief executive as the embattled consultancy seeks a fresh leader to steer it through one of its most challenging periods.
A source with knowledge of the board’s deliberations, who declined to be named as the discussions are confidential, told Capital Brief there would be a meeting this weekend in relation to the new CEO.
A second source close to the firm confirmed the timing and purpose of the meeting but cautioned the board might not reach a final conclusion.
The board, led by recently appointed chair Michael Ebeid, has been working with high profile business executive Kerry Schott and KPMG special adviser Jennifer Westacott as well as external agencies Riverstone Associates and Korn Ferry.
