Liberals slam Nationals for ‘gross’ politicking on Bondi day of mourning

The Coalition’s dramatic split has devolved into finger pointing on a national day of mourning for the Bondi terror attack.

Liberals have accused the Nationals of “gross” politicking on a national day of mourning for the Bondi terror attack, as the fallout from the Coalition’s dramatic split descended into mudslinging.

Nationals leader David Littleproud launched a full-frontal attack on Liberal leader Sussan Ley, blasting her “mismanagement” and “disrespect” as he confirmed the second Coalition breakup in less than a year.

But with Thursday marking an official day of mourning for the deadliest terror attack on Australian soil, Ley urged against public infighting, saying “the focus must be on Jewish Australians”.

One Liberal source, granted anonymity to speak freely, was scathing about Littleproud’s timing.
