Life360 weighs Tile manufacturing move from China amid tariff threat

Life360 is considering moving manufacturing of its Tile trackers out of China, as US tariff policy threatens to elicit a reciprocal 125% duty on exports from the country.

The company will soon begin selling trackers for pet and elderly care as part of a strategy to boost hardware sales. CFO Russell Burke told Capital Brief it will take proactive steps to ensure tariffs don’t jeopardise that opportunity.

"We're looking at potential solutions that would move manufacturing out of China, but that won't happen until next year," said Burke. "The contract manufacturer that we work with has a number of locations, Malaysia is probably the most likely one at the moment."

President Trump on Tuesday again delayed threatened 145% tariffs on exports from China, setting a new deadline for mid-November. Should those be enacted, China says it will return fire with a 125% tariff.
