Nine CEO retains board support as details of TV culture review are revealed

Nine Entertainment chief executive Mike Sneesby has emerged from an off-schedule board meeting with the support of directors, and revealed details of the an independent review into the company's television newsroom culture following a fortnight of scandals.
In an email to all staff on Thursday, viewed by Capital Brief, Sneesby announced the scope of an independent review that will be conducted by the firm Intersection, which contributed to the federal government’s Respect@Work National Inquiry into sexual harassment.
The review will be limited to the company’s television news and current affairs division, he told staff Thursday. He also announced the establishment of a dedicated hotline for staff to report sexual harassment and other inappropriate behaviours against both current and former staff.
The company will also conduct a company-wide survey, and roll out compulsory sexual harassment prevention training for staff to be completed by the end of the financial year.
