Outgoing Allens chair Fiona Crosbie on culture, leadership and the road ahead
After eight years as chair of Australia’s oldest law firm, Crosbie reflects on her tenure and the future of competition law, from merger reforms to digital regulation.
Looking back on her eight-year tenure as chair of the country’s oldest law firm, Fiona Crosbie says the culture in large law firms has evolved significantly.
“If you’re going to stay modern and you’re going to stay relevant, then changes are constant, and the most significant cultural change that I’ve been part of is watching our firm become so much more diverse and inclusive,” Crosbie told Capital Brief.
Crosbie hung up her hat as Allens chair at the end of 2024, passing the baton to partner Chelsey Drake from 1 January.
In 2024, Crosbie also played a key role in a Melbourne courtroom, where Allens represented Fortnite developer Epic Games in a marathon four-month competition law trial against Apple and Google.
