Regal-backed defence play Elsight just jumped another hurdle on its way to the ASX 200
Regal’s Phil King says the Israeli company is “one of the most exciting exposures to the defence industry on the ASX” with its products on Trump’s shopping list.
Defence technology companies DroneShield and Electro Optic Systems have drummed up their fair share of excitement among local investors over the last 12 months.
Both have emerged as battleground stocks as prospective shareholders weigh governance concerns, short reports and disclosure issues against blistering share price gains.
But one company that’s been drifting among the small caps for nearly a decade is now on a run that eclipses even those widely hyped names.
Israel-based Elsight, which listed on the ASX in 2017, has rocketed more than 1,500% over the last 12 months, cracking the ASX 300 index in last month’s rebalance.
