‘Substantial upside remains’: Wilson jumps into Firmus’ latest $2b funding call

A 60% spike in Firmus’ valuation hasn’t deterred two of its biggest backers, who are poised to tip in to its latest private raise.

Geoff Wilson’s $6 billion investment company Wilson Asset Management confirmed it will double down on its bet on ASX-bound Firmus, as the AI infrastructure play lines up a USD2 billion ($2.9 billion) equity raising.

AI factory builder Firmus delayed plans for its ASX debut following a lukewarm response to an investor roadshow earlier this year, and is now proceeding with another private market round instead.

Shares are set to be sold at $230 each, up from $145 in April, taking Oliver Curtis’ business to a $15.5 billion valuation, the AFR first reported.

A Firmus spokesperson confirmed the raise and pricing when contacted by Capital Brief.
