The Daily Aus opens Gen Z corporate advisory shop

The publisher, which says it is now profitable, will offer a range of services targeting C-suites and boardrooms trying to figure out how to engage Gen Z.

The Daily Aus co-founder Sam Koslowski said the advisory business will allow the publisher to hire more young journalists and diversify revenue away from social media advertising. Supplied.

Digital youth publisher The Daily Aus has launched a strategic advisory business in a move to capitalise on growing demand from Australia’s biggest companies for advice on how to engage young people.

The advisory arm is called ‘Futureproof’, and will sit inside the publisher’s existing business. It will offer three core services: talks and keynote presentations, interactive workshops, and more traditional strategic advisory, including branding and crisis communications.

Sam Koslowski, co-founder of The Daily Aus, said the launch formalises work it has already been doing for ASX100 companies and other major corporates including Optus and Nike. The move also serves to further diversify revenue, Koslowski said, after the publisher reached profitability. He declined to share figures.

“We’ve always seen this work as kind of incidental, and we’re thrilled when it comes to us and finds us. We’ve never gone looking for it like we have in this way,” Koslowski told Capital Brief.
