Tree change: All the executives who've left the Forrest empire
Andrew 'Twiggy' Forrest may have ambitions of changing the world, but right now his biggest challenge appears to be hanging on to executives at Fortescue.
On Monday, Fortescue Metals Group announced the resignation of CEO Fiona Hick less than six months after she began in the top job.
A company statement announcing the departure vaguely attributed the leadership change to FMG’s goals of diversifying the iron miner into green technology – a long-standing part of company strategy.
Hick will be replaced by Dino Otranto, who had been serving as head of the iron ore business and before that had been with Brazilian competitor Vale.
FMG said it had been a “joint decision” and that Hick’s departure had “been both friendly and mutual”.
