UK fintech Paydock inks CBA partnership as payments 'orchestrators' move in

Fintech conductors aim to orchestrate the noise of a cacophony of payment options being offered to both consumers and merchants.

There’s a lot of noise in the payments landscape as real time platforms mature and a bevy of fintechs add different instruments and services to the mix. That noise is a cacophony of rails, systems, acronyms and cryptic names.

Coupled with an already convenient and reliable existing payment system, the confusion of options is a restraint on growth.

So what the cutting edge new payments need to be more accessible to consumers and merchants is a conductor, some orchestration of the complexity - at least according to a range of banks and fintechs.

There are initiatives emerging: Australian fintech Paydock today announced a partnership with Commonwealth Bank to offer the bank’s merchants flexibility and choice on payment choices, to orchestrate the emerging payments world.
