4DMedical shares surge after inking commercial US deal
The news: 4DMedical paced ASX 200 gains in early trade after the respiratory imaging technology company secured a commercial contract for its CT:VQ imaging with Arizona-based SimonMed Imaging.
Shares jumped 10.8% to $3.70 at 11:16am AEST.
The context: Under the three-year contract, SimonMed will deploy 4DMedical’s cardiopulmonary analysis solutions, CT:VQ and LDAF, to supplement existing CT imaging.
The rollout leverages 4DMedical’s SaaS delivery model to drive operational efficiency across multiple diagnostic imaging networks.
4DMedical noted that while the contract will not be immediately financially material, the long-term opportunity represents a significant commercial milestone.
The company added that the agreement reflects growing clinical confidence in the technology while supporting the collection of reimbursement evidence and insurance claims data across its expanding network.
What they said: “By extracting functional cardiopulmonary information directly from standard CT scans, we believe this technology has the potential to help physicians identify diseases that affect millions of patients, stratifying risk more precisely, and ultimately support more personalised care and better outcomes for patients,” SimonMed chief medical officer Sean Raj said.
