ACCC approves Ramsay Health Care acquisition of National Capital Private Hospital

The news: The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has approved Ramsay Health Care's acquisition of National Capital Private Hospital.
The context: The approval follows Ramsay's announcement on 23 December 2025 that it had entered into an agreement to acquire the hospital's assets and operations from the appointed receivers and managers for $251 million, to be funded from Ramsay's existing debt facilities.
Completion of the transaction is expected to occur in the first quarter of FY27.
