Adairs shares rise as new CEO appointed
More news: Adairs shares rose in morning trade after the homewares retailer appointed former Country Road boss Elle Roseby as its new CEO and managing director.
Shares were up 3.7% to $1.82 by midday AEST, having added 30% over the last 12 months.
Adairs names Elle Roseby as new CEO
The news: Homewares retailer Adairs has appointed former Country Road boss Elle Roseby as its new CEO and managing director.
The numbers: Roseby will replace current boss Mark Ronan, who resigned earlier this month. She will start her role in January 2025, with Ronan to continue until that time.
The context: Roseby stepped down as managing director of Country Road and Trenery in July. She has previously held leadership roles at Cotton On, Sportsgirl and Myer.
Adairs interim chair Trent Paterson said the incoming CEO brought deep retail experience across fashion apparel and home textiles product categories.
Adairs operates a chain of nearly 200 stores across Australia and also owns the Focus on Furniture and online-only brand Mocka.
