Adore Beauty names Sacha Laing as new CEO

The news: Online cosmetics retailer Adore Beauty has named former General Pants Co and Collette boss Sacha Laing as its incoming chief executive officer.

The numbers: Laing will lead the business effective 1 October. He brings 25 years of physical, online and wholesale retail industry experience including as group CEO and director of premium retail group Alquemie.

The context: The appointment follows a months-long comprehensive executive search and came after the Melbourne-based Adore’s current CEO Tamalin Morton announced she would step down from the role in September, after leading the company since January 2023. She will take up a consulting role to provide ongoing strategic advice to the board after the transition to the new CEO. Adore Beauty last month agreed to buy beauty and wellness brand iKOU Holdings in an all-cash $25 million deal.
