The news: Bonza's administrators Hall Chadwick terminated all employees at the regional airline this morning, after failing to receive any binding takeover offers for the company.

The numbers: The 323 employees of Bonza, which has also cancelled all future flights, were told their employment would be terminated after the deadline for interested parties to submit a binding offer for the budget carrier expired on Friday.

The context: Hall Chadwick said it held a meeting with Bonza's staff this morning to advise them of their termination.

It noted that the future of the airline was "still to be determined" as a third party might still put forward a proposal for creditors' consideration.

Hall Chadwick also said its investigations into Bonza's business and affairs were ongoing and the results would be provided to creditors.

In April, Bonza entered into voluntary administration after abruptly cancelling flights across Australia, stranding hundreds of domestic passengers, as it considered "the ongoing viability of the business".
