Ampol names Helen Nash, Stephen Pearce as directors
The news: Fuel refiner and retailer Ampol has named former McDonald's executive Helen Nash and former Fortescue chief financial officer Stephen Pearce as non-executive directors on its board.
The numbers: Nash and Pearce will join Ampol’s board as independent directors from 1 March.
Ampol shares were up 0.6% to $29.86 in early trading on the ASX.
The context: Nash has previously served as chief operating officer of McDonald’s Australia and is currently the chair of chicken supplier Ingham’s Group.
Pearce, who served in top finance positions in Anglo American and Fortescue Metals Group, is currently a non-executive director for BAE Systems, South32 and Wyllie Group.
Ampol chair Steven Gregg said the appointments would help bring a significant breadth of experience and insight to the Ampol board.
