ANZ poaches former NAB, Westpac executive to board
The news: ANZ has appointed Rachel Slade as a non-executive director, effective 13 July.
The context: Slade brings more than two decades of customer experience across retail and transaction banking, having recently held senior leadership roles at NAB and Westpac.
Prior to her board appointment, Slade served as the group executive of business and private banking at NAB, having worked for the bank since 2017.
She also previously served at Westpac for 17 years in senior roles across global transactional services, retail and business banking.
What they said: “Her understanding of complex banking environments and focus on high-quality customer outcomes position her well to support the execution of ANZ’s 2030 strategy and our continued growth,” ANZ chair Paul O’Sullivan said.
