APRA superannuation lead Carmen Beverley-Smith resigns
The news: The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority’s executive director for life insurance, private health insurance and superannuation (LPHIS) Carmen Beverley-Smith has resigned effective immediately to take on a senior position at a regulated entity.
The context: LPHIS general manager Peter Kohlhagen will serve as executive director on an interim basis while a permanent replacement is sought. The regulator said it aims to fill the vacancy “as soon as possible”.
The regulator declined to comment more specifically on Beverley-Smith’s new appointment.
