ASX to open higher after mixed Wall Street session

The context: The Nasdaq led gains across Wall Street's three main indices overnight, boosted by a surge by Tesla after reports that US president-elect Donald Trump’s transition team plan to make a federal framework for self-driving vehicles one of the Transportation Department’s priorities. Traders are also waiting on Nvidia's third-quarter earnings, due on Wednesday, after the chipmaker led the market's tech rally this year.
