Atlas Arteria posts 11% rise in Q3 toll revenue, picks new Dulles Greenway CEO

The news: Toll road operator Atlas Arteria has reported a 10.9% increase in proportionate toll revenue for the third quarter, supported by traffic growth across its portfolio.
The group also announced the appointment of Kara Lawrence as the CEO of its Dulles Greenway toll road in Northern Virginia. She has served as the chief financial officer of the company's Chicago Skyway since March 2023.
The context: Atlas Arteria said it saw increased congestion on competing routes, which supported continued traffic strength.
Chicago Skyway traffic grew as commuters took to the road over summer, with heavy vehicle traffic also improving relative to the second quarter.
Proportionate toll revenue was also positively impacted by toll increases as well as beneficial movements in foreign exchange rates.
