The news: Toll road operator Atlas Arteria reported higher average traffic and average toll revenue in the first quarter, driven by toll increases across the majority of its businesses.
The numbers: Overall traffic increased 1.6% year on year, while quarterly revenue grew 6.1%.
The context: Atlas said traffic at its French motorway Autoroutes Paris-Rhin-Rhône rebounded compared to the prior corresponding period, which was impacted by the French farmers' strikes.
Atlas also announced the appointment of Luis Tejerina as the CEO of its Chicago Skyway toll bridge, commencing on 1 May.
