Atlas Arteria reports 10.7% rise in Q2 toll revenue

The news: Toll road operator Atlas Arteria has reported a 10.7% year-on-year increase in proportionate toll revenue for the the June quarter.

The context: Atlas said its French motorway Autoroutes Paris-Rhin-Rhône delivered a "solid traffic performance". Quarterly toll revenue was up 3.3% year on year, with the result positively impacted by Easter falling in April compared to March in the prior year.

Its US highway Dulles Greenway saw strong traffic recovery, supported by increased congestion on competing routes. Toll revenue was up 8.7% due to toll increases as well as beneficial movements in foreign exchange rates, the company said.

Atlas' Chicago Skyway saw lower traffic but 2.6% higher toll revenue following toll increases implemented in January.
