Atlassian narrows full-year loss as revenue grows 20%
The news: Software giant Atlassian reported a 20% jump in full-year revenue to USD5.2 billion ($8 billion) and trimmed its net loss from USD300.5 million to USD256.7 million.
The Nasdaq-listed business also announced the departure of its president Anu Bharadwaj after 12 years in various leadership roles at the company.
The numbers: Fourth-quarter revenue was up 22% year on year to USD1,384.3 million. The company reported a quarterly net loss of USD23.9 million, improved from a net loss of USD196.9 million in the prior corresponding period.
Atlassian has guided 18% revenue growth in fiscal 2026, including cloud revenue growth of 21% and data centre growth of 12.5%.
Shares fell 7.7% in extended trading prior to the results being released.
The context: Atlassian chief executive and co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes said "AI is fundamentally changing the way we work" and creating "significant tailwinds" for the company in the process.
On Bharadwaj's departure, Cannon-Brookes called her a "truly transformational leader" following a 12-year stint that included spells as head of product and chief operating officer. The company said she will depart on 31 December to pursue new opportunities.
