Atlassian unveils new AI search product Rovo
The news: Atlassian has announced a new AI-powered search product, Rovo, which the company says will help companies "turn information into action in a heartbeat".
The context: Rovo will enable users to pull data from first- and third-party tools and make it easily accessible through a new AI-powered search function, which surfaces the most contextual and relevant results, regardless of where the data is stored or the format it takes.
It also features "Rovo Agents", which act as "virtual teammates", to synthesise large volumes of data and break down complex tasks, as well as automate workflows in tools like third-party platforms Jira and Confluence.
Atlassian, which announced the departure of co-CEO Scott Farquhar last week, is working on introducing AI throughout its entire product suite, and the latest launch comes five months after its first release of AI capabilities for businesses.
The news comes a day after Google released its AI assistant Gemini in more than 100 countries worldwide.
