The news: Bain & Company has named Mohit Wadan as managing partner of the firm’s Australia and New Zealand business, effective 1 April 2025.

The context: Wadan was most recently the co-head of Bain’s performance improvement practice in Asia Pacific, having joined the management consulting firm in 2008.

In his new role as managing partner for Bain’s Australia and New Zealand business, Wadan will be responsible for overseeing the region’s growth, strategy, people, and operations.

Wadan will succeed Peter Stumbles, who has led the Australia and New Zealand practice since 2019.

What they said: "Peter has made tremendous contributions to our firm over the last six years, which included steering the business through the challenging pandemic years," said Bain's Asia Pacific regional managing partner Satish Shankar.

"Under his leadership, Bain has significantly grown its market-leading position in Australia and New Zealand and delivered transformative results for our clients."
