BHP names Brandon Craig as CEO to replace Mike Henry
The news: BHP has appointed Brandon Craig as CEO, succeeding Mike Henry, effective 1 July 2026.
The context: Craig brings more than 25 years of experience across operational and corporate leadership roles at BHP. He currently serves as BHP’s President Americas, overseeing the company’s growth strategy across Canada, the United States and South America.
Craig had previously led BHP’s Western Australia iron ore business, where he was responsible for operational performance.
What they said: “As incoming CEO, I am committed to leading the talented and hard working people who make BHP a great company and continuing to generate long-term value for all our shareholders. I will work tirelessly with the Board and management to achieve this,” Craig said.
