BlackRock appoints ex-deputy Jason Collins as Australia head
The news: BlackRock has promoted Jason Collins as its head of Australia, as previous chief Andrew Landman becomes deputy head of Asia Pacific.
The numbers: Collins joined BlackRock in 2013 after leadership roles at BT Financial Group and Deutsche Bank. During his decade at the investing giant, he held senior roles including Australasia head of client business and, since February 2022, deputy head of Australia.
The context: Collins will continue to report to Landman, who has served as BlackRock's Australia head since June 2019 and was appointed deputy head of APAC last month.
In his new role, Collins will have oversight of all commercial and operational aspects of the Australian business. He will also continue to serve as an executive director on the board of BlackRock Australia and BlackRock New Zealand.
