The news: Boss Energy managing director and chief executive Duncan Craib has told the board that he will step down on 30 September.

The context: Craib, who has led the company since 2017, has accepted an offer by the board to stay on as a non-executive director and will commence in his new role on 1 January 2026.

Boss' current chief operating officer Matt Dusci is set to replace Craib on 1 October. Dusci joined Boss in September last year, overseeing the ramp-up of operations at the miner's flagship Honeymoon project in South Australia.

Dusci previously held leadership roles at diversified miner IGO, including stints as acting CEO, COO and chief growth officer.

What they said: "Under Duncan's leadership, Boss has generated considerable growth for its shareholders and has transitioned from an exploration and development company to an ASX 200 listed company," said Boss chair Wyatt Buck.

"Matt has done an excellent job for the past year in successfully ramping up Honeymoon and we believe his significant operational, technical and industry experience will stand us in good stead."
