The news: Uranium miner Boss Energy has said its flagship Honeymoon uranium operation in South Australia has met its first-year production guidance of 850,000 pounds of drummed uranium yellowcake.

The numbers: Honeymoon saw production of 328,102 pounds in the June quarter, an 11% increase quarter over quarter.

The context: The company said production will continue over the remainder of June but will be limited due to a planned maintenance program and preparation for the ongoing ramp-up in fiscal 2026.

Earlier this year, Boss said the Honeymoon project was on track to meet full-year guidance after commercial production began 1 January.

Operations at the mine were suspended by its previous owner Uranium One in 2013, due to falling uranium prices. The project was acquired by Boss in 2015 with a view to re-start the operation.

What they said: "We are extremely proud to have met production guidance in our first year of operating Honeymoon," said Boss managing director Duncan Craib.

"Not once since announcing the enhanced feasibility study in June 2011 have we revised Honeymoon's cost or production guidance," he said. "And we have increased production in every successive quarter."
