The numbers: Rider has spent 38 years as an investment professional, including the last four at Brighter Super. He led the constructing of a $35 billion portfolio following the merger of LGIAsuper and Energy Super and the acquisition of Suncorp Super.
The context: Brighter Super CEO Kate Farrar confirmed that the company has commenced an executive recruitment process to appoint a new CIO.
Rider will remain with Brighter Super until December to support the handover and to engage with key stakeholders, the company said.
What they said: “This is a planned, positive transition,” Farrar said.
“Mark has been proactive in ensuring stability and continuity, and our members and partners can be assured that performance is driven by the strength of our team and processes, not one individual.”
