The news: Endeavour Group has announced that BWS managing director Scott Davidson will step down at the end of November after more than five years in the position.

The context: Davidson will remain in the role for the Christmas-trade planning period, with a succession process to commence later in the year.

He has been with Endeavour businesses since 2005 when he joined ALH Hotels. Prior to BWS, Davidson spent about 12 and a half years at Woolworths.

What they said: In an announcement to the ASX, Davidson said “now is the right time to hand the baton to drive the next phase of growth at BWS. After such a great tenure with the company, it’s time for me to move on to the next opportunity”.

Endeavour group executive chair Ari Mervis said Davidson “made an enormous contribution” to the company following its demerger from Woolworths in 2021.

“Scott led a progressive transformation agenda across eCommerce, in-store retail renewal and marketing and partnerships at BWS, and we wish him well for the future,” Mervis said.
