The news: Gold miner Capricorn Metals reported an uptick in quarterly output at its Karlawinda gold project in Western Australia, taking annual production to the top end of its guidance range.

The numbers: Karlawinda produced 32,216 ounces of gold in the fourth quarter, up from 30,599 ounces in the previous quarter, taking annual gold production to 117,076 ounces for fiscal 2025.

Capricorn had guided full-year production of between 110,000 and 120,000 ounces.

The miner said all-in sustaining cost is expected to be within the full-year cost guidance range of $1,370 to $1,470 per ounce.

The context: Capricorn said production at Karlawinda aligned with budget expectations and progress of the project's ongoing expansion project.

In April, the company told investors that it was on track to achieve the mid-point of its FY25 production guidance range for Karlawinda.
