Capstone Copper records 22% jump in production for FY25
The news: Capstone Copper reported a 22% year-on-year increase in copper production in 2025 to 224,764 tonnes.
The numbers: The total contained copper production for fourth-quarter in 2025 was 58,237 tonnes.
Net income attributable to shareholders for the full-year rose to $315.9 million, or 41 cents per share, up from 11 cents the year prior.
Adjusted earnings before interest and tax came in at $952.7 million, from $496.1 million year-on-year, while operating cashflows totalled $891.3 million.
The context: CEO Cashel Meagher said the full-year earnings reflected benefits from completed projects, the commencement of Mantoverde construction and a new exploration program in the Mantoverde-Santo Domingo district.
Capstone Copper expects its copper production guidance for 2026 to be in the range between 200,000 and 230,000 tonnes at cash costs of $2.45 to $2.75 per payable pound of copper.
