Cettire names The Reject Shop's Steven Fisher as new chair

The news: Luxury fashion retailer Cettire has announced the retirement of its chair Bob East, who has led the board since the company's public listing in 2020.

He will be replaced by current non-executive director Steven Fisher.

The context: Cettire said East "believes it is time for Cettire to transition to a new chair and for him to step away from the board".

Fisher, who was also chairman of Breville Group for 15 years, has chaired The Reject Shop board since 2019. The value retailer agreed to a $259 million takeover by Canadian retail chain Dollarama last week.

Cettire has also appointed Accent Group chief executive Daniel Agostinelli to the board as an independent non-executive director. Agostinelli has led the ASX-listed footwear retailer for over nine years.
