Cleanaway chair Philippe Etienne to retire this month

The news: Cleanaway Waste Management chair Philippe Etienne will retire from the board on 30 June.

The context: Etienne will be replaced by non-executive director Samantha Hogg following a considered succession process.

What they said: “Philippe has made an outstanding contribution to Cleanaway since his appointment in 2014,” said Hogg.

“The company has been fundamentally transformed while Philippe has been on the board. He leaves Cleanaway in a strong position, with a clear strategy to deliver the next phase of the company’s growth.”
