Cleanaway names Nigel Simonsz as CFO, flags $470m in full-year earnings

The news: Cleanaway Waste Management has appointed Nigel Simonsz as chief financial officer, effective 27 July, following the resignation of Paul Binfield after serving the company for over five years.

The context: Simonsz brings extensive experience in senior positions, having previously served as the group chief financial officer and chief executive officer of United Petroleum, as well as chief financial officer at Sigma Healthcare and the Australian Agriculture Company.

Cleanaway also expects to report underlying earnings before interest and tax of approximately $470 million for the full year, representing the midpoint of its previously targeted guidance. The company is due to release its full-year results on 20 August.

What they said: “Paul’s leadership has been instrumental in strengthening the company through transformational acquisitions, enhancing our financial discipline and helping shape our Blueprint 2030 strategy, which provides a clear foundation for long term sustainable growth,” CEO Mark Schubert said.
