More news: Shares in freshly combined Sigma Healthcare-Chemist Warehouse have rallied further after the merged company debuted on the ASX.
Shares had jumped 8.7% to $3 by 12:41pm AEDT. Over the last 12 months they have risen 177.8%.

The news: The newly merged Sigma Healthcare and Chemist Warehouse started trading on the ASX today.
The numbers: Shares in Sigma were up 0.54% to $2.77 in early trading.
The context: New Sigma shares issued under the scheme of arrangement began trading after the listed pharmacy wholesaler completed its buyout of the retail chain.
This was one of the ASX's largest share issues, ASX chief executive Helen Lofthouse said during her company's half-year results meeting this morning.
