Commonwealth Bank adds Barclays COO Alistair Currie to board
The news: Commonwealth Bank has appointed Barclays chief operating officer Alistair Currie to its board as an independent non-executive director.
The context: Currie previously held senior positions at ANZ, including chief operating officer, after serving in a number of international roles at HSBC.
CBA said Currie will begin his role on or around 31 March, subject to regulatory requirements.
