The news: Coronado Global Resources CEO Douglas Thompson has announced his resignation, effective 31 March 2026.
The context: The board has appointed Gerry Spindler as the interim chief executive officer, effective 1 April 2026.
Spindler, who currently serves as the executive chair and previously held the CEO role, will step into the position as the search for a permanent replacement is underway.
Director Greg Pritchard will assume the role of chair on an interim basis.
