Deep Yellow shares add 5% amid fresh legal challenge
The news: Deep Yellow shares rallied today after the uranium miner said it would take "all necessary action to protect its interests" as it faces a fresh legal challenge in Namibia.
The numbers: Deep Yellow shares were up 5.1% to $1.13 at 1:30pm AEDT.
The context: The company noted in an ASX statement yesterday that geologist Jurgen Hoffman and his company Tumas Granite CC have filed an application in the high court of Namibia to review Deep Yellow's mining licence for its flagship Tumas Project, and its associated environmental clearance certificate.
This is the fifth such challenge by the applicants since 2011. Deep Yellow said it considers the latest application "to be without merit".
