The news: Digital real estate platform Domain has announced that Mickie Rosen will join its board in the place of outgoing Nine Entertainment chief executive Mike Sneesby at the end of the month.

The context: Domain, which Nine controls with a 60% stake, currently counts Nine chief finance officer Matt Stanton and Sneesby among its directors.

Rosen will join the board as a non-independent director from 30 September in Sneesby’s place, after he announced last Thursday that he’d depart the company from 1 October. Stanton will take over as interim Nine chief executive while the company conducts a global search.

Rosen, who is based in the United States, is a member of Nine’s six-person board and served as a member of the Fairfax Media board from 2017 up until the company merged with Nine in 2018.

What they said: “Domain and the board of directors would like to thank Mike for his contribution to the company,” Domain chair Nick Falloon said in a statement on Thursday.

“I would also like to welcome Mickie to Domain. Mickie brings many years of experience in the media and technology industries and we look forward to having her expertise on the Domain board.”
