Domino’s Pizza outlines senior leadership changes
The news: Fast food retail group Domino’s Pizza Enterprises has announced a reshuffle in its global leadership team as part of an overhaul of company performance.
The numbers: The company has promoted Europe CEO Andre ten Wolde to the new position of group chief marketing officer, with immediate effect. Current group chief portfolio managementofficer, Julianne Dickson, will now become group chief transformation officer, also with immediate effect.
The context: Recently appointed CEO Mark van Dyck said the changes were the next steps in delivering an improvement in company performance as the group completes its strategic plan.
The ‘Recipe for Growth’ plan includes a focus on improved return on investment from marketing, including new product development and advertising spend, as well as delivering higher digital conversion and building capability in pricing, he said, adding it is critical Domino’s has experienced leadership given the importance of delivering topline growth in improving unit economics.
In her new role, Dickson will oversee the execution of the Recipe for Growth plan to transform the business, working in close partnership with van Dyck, as well as country leadership, who will remain accountable for delivery within their markets.
The fast food retail group, which owns and operates pizza stores in Australia, Asia and Europe, has faced narrowing margins amid a challenging economic environment, and previously announced store closures in Japan and France.
